Yep I am lucky to have done so much travelling recently, if only for a few days I'm back from Carinthia now; spent a day in Venice (Italy) - a beautiful city awaiting its death... slowly falling to ruins...
If you haven't been to Carinthia/Austria yet, you might want to go there someday, it is definitely worth a visit
Colmar... let me think... is that still part of Alsace? Sorry, I am not exactly an expert on geography.. Do you speak l'alsacien? During our stay in Strasbourg, we were told it is becoming extinct and that the younger generation doesn't speak it anymore.. Which I think is a pity.
